Overview of character dining restaurants at Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris gives visitors the chance to dine with Disney characters.
Unlike meet-and-greets in the park, this experience offers an immersive moment while enjoying your meal. It’s a pleasant way to keep creating memories during a day visit or a longer stay.
Keep in mind that only a few restaurants offer this service, and not always at every mealtime.
Important note
Restaurants in Disneyland Park
Two restaurants in Disneyland Park offer character dining.
Please note that starting from spring 2026, Plaza Gardens may no longer feature character meet-and-greets due to the opening of the Frozen land and a new restaurant providing this service.
Plaza Gardens Restaurant
Plaza Gardens Restaurant is without a doubt the most well-known place at Disneyland Paris for dining with Disney characters.
It is located at the very end of Main Street U.S.A., right next to the entrance to Discoveryland, with a view of the castle.
This restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet and allows you to meet characters both at breakfast and at dinner.
Important note
This restaurant is also open for lunch and serves an all-you-can-eat buffet, but characters are not present at that time. Be careful when making your reservation.
- Type of restaurant: All-you-can-eat buffet
- Character meet-and-greet: Only in the morning and evening
- Characters: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Scrooge McDuck, Goofy, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Pinocchio, Geppetto, Chip & Dale, etc.
- Price (morning): €50 per adult and €40 per child
- Price (evening): €80 per adult and €40 per child
- Good to know: accepts Disneyland Pass discounts and included in the Extra Plus and Premium meal plans
Important note
L’Auberge de Cendrillon
Auberge de Cendrillon is the other iconic restaurant in Disneyland Park for meeting characters.
It is located in Fantasyland, just behind the castle, and is easy to spot thanks to Cinderella’s carriage placed at the entrance.
This restaurant offers table service and allows you to meet characters at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Type of restaurant: Table service, à la carte
- Character meet-and-greet: Morning, lunch, and dinner
- Characters: Cinderella, Ariel, Aurora, Snow White, Merida, Rapunzel, and Tiana, as well as the mice Jaq, Gus, Suzy, and Perla
- Price (morning): €60 per adult and €40 per child
- Price (lunch & dinner): €95 per adult and €50 per child
- Good to know: accepts Disneyland Pass discounts and included in the Extra Plus and Premium meal plans
The special case of Captain Jack’s – Restaurant des Pirates
Many people think that Captain Jack’s – Restaurant des Pirates is a character dining location, but that is not the case.
On rare occasions, you might be lucky enough to see Jack Sparrow walking through the restaurant, but this is very uncommon.
If you want to meet characters, do not rely on this restaurant. Choose it only if you are interested in its menu and atmosphere, without expecting Captain Jack Sparrow to appear.
Restaurants in Walt Disney Studios Park
For now, no restaurant in Walt Disney Studios Park offers character dining.
However, starting in spring 2026, with the opening of the Frozen land, the park — which will then be renamed Disney Adventure World, will feature a character dining restaurant: The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge.
The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge
- Type of restaurant: All-you-can-eat buffet
- Character meet-and-greet: to be confirmed
- Characters: Disney Princesses
- Price: to be announced

My tips for character dining at Disneyland Paris
To make the most of your character dining experience at Disneyland Paris, here are my best tips:
- Book early: up to 1 year in advance if staying at a Disney hotel, or 2 months ahead for other visitors
- Get your camera or smartphone ready to capture every moment
- Ask a Cast Member to take a photo of your whole group or family for a complete memory
- Allow enough time to enjoy your meal, admire the setting, and interact with the characters
- Bring your autograph book if you want to collect signatures
Former character dining restaurants
Some restaurants that no longer exist were once must-do experiences for meeting Disney characters:
- Café Mickey: for a long time considered the go-to spot for Disney character fans at Disney Village. Over the years, character appearances were limited to dinner service only. The restaurant closed in 2020 and was replaced by Rosalie during the Disney Village renovation project.
- Inventions: the former buffet at the Disneyland Hotel, famous for its many Disney character meet-and-greets. It closed in 2020 and was replaced in 2024 by Royal Banquet after the hotel’s full renovation.
