Introduction to the land

The World of Frozen land at Disneyland Paris will cover 9,800 m², faithfully recreating the port of Arendelle and the traditional villages of Norway. The scenery will be dominated by a 40-meter-high snow-covered mountain, topped by Elsa’s majestic Ice Castle, offering total immersion into the world of Frozen.

The history of the land

The World of Frozen land at Disneyland Paris was announced in 2018 as part of the Walt Disney Studios expansion plan, alongside Avengers Campus. At the D23 2024, it was confirmed that the land would open in 2026, together with Adventure Bay, the large lake of the new Disney Adventure World park (formerly Walt Disney Studios Park). This opening will mark an important milestone in the park’s expansion!

Furthermore, during the press event on 24 November 2025, the opening date of the land was announced! The Snow Queen land will open on 29 March 2026!

For those who want to get a better idea of what this new land might look like, it will be very similar to what already exists at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, which has had its own World of Frozen since November 2023.

The land will also feature the Nordic Crowns Tavern restaurant, a dedicated souvenir shop along with a kiosk, and a meet-and-greet area where visitors can meet their favorite characters.

The World of Frozen land, dedicated to Frozen, will be located at the far end of Walt Disney Studios Park, which will be renamed Disney Adventure World at its opening, and will be visible from Adventure Way right after leaving World Premiere.

Other Frozen lands around the world

The Frozen land planned for Disneyland Paris will not be the only one to offer a zone dedicated to the hit 2013 film in a Disney park! In fact, other parks around the world have already integrated the world of Arendelle:

  • At Epcot in Florida, the Frozen universe is featured in the Norway Pavilion. There you’ll find the Frozen Ever After attraction, a boat ride inspired by the film. However, this area remains quite limited and is not really a full land.
  • At Hong Kong Disneyland, the Arendelle: World of Frozen land officially opened at the end of 2023. It is an area entirely dedicated to Frozen, with a recreation of the village, the Frozen Ever After attraction, as well as a family roller coaster: Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. This highly immersive land is similar to what is planned for Disneyland Paris.
  • In Japan, at Tokyo DisneySea, the Frozen universe is part of the Fantasy Springs project, which opened in 2024 — a large expansion that also includes areas themed to Peter Pan and Rapunzel. The Frozen section features Arendelle Castle as well as an attraction inspired by the film. Once again, this is not exactly a dedicated land but rather a small immersive area.
