In this article, I share my 5 reasons to experience Christmas at Disneyland Paris, to inspire you to enjoy this unique season and everything it offers. I also include some useful links if you’d like to start planning your Disney Christmas trip.
1. Decorations and lights
The first reason to visit Disneyland Paris at Christmas is for its decorations and lights. The park is completely transformed for the holidays, offering a unique setting.
As soon as you arrive, the 24-meter-tall Christmas tree impresses with its size and colors. Over 7 kilometers of garlands and more than 10,000 ornaments light up the streets and façades.
On Main Street, the shop windows and Christmas music create the perfect atmosphere for the season.
2. The Christmas Parade
The second reason to visit Disneyland Paris at Christmas is the Christmas parade. This must-see event is one of the most anticipated moments of the season.
Decorated floats, sparkling costumes, and lively music parade in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and around the big Christmas tree.
Two versions are presented: one during the day and one in the evening, so you can enjoy the magic of the Christmas lights.
Santa Claus is also there to greet visitors and close the parade.
3. Meeting Santa Claus
The third reason to visit Disneyland Paris at Christmas is the chance to meet Santa Claus.
Both children and adults can find him in his workshop, specially decorated for the occasion.
It’s the perfect place to take a souvenir photo and share a special moment before his big trip around the world.
This encounter is one of the most beloved experiences of the Christmas season at Disneyland Paris.
4. Entertainment and Christmas Chalet
The fourth reason to visit Disneyland Paris at Christmas is for the entertainment, shows, and festive food chalets.
Every day, the park offers many special moments to enjoy, such as the lighting of the big Christmas tree, projections on Main Street, and even falling snow that adds extra magic to your visit.
The princesses appear in their most beautiful Christmas outfits, while the *Let’s Sing Christmas* show and the choir at the foot of the tree bring the holiday spirit to life.
The food chalets are also a great place to take a break and enjoy some seasonal treats.
5. New Year’s Eve Party
The fifth reason to visit Disneyland Paris at Christmas is the New Year’s Eve party.
On December 31, the park stays open later and offers a unique festive atmosphere.
Special entertainment, festive restaurant menus, and a joyful ambiance accompany visitors all the way to midnight.
The highlight of the evening is the grand fireworks display above Sleeping Beauty Castle — a spectacular moment to end the year in style.
