More details on Lion King Land
After months of rumours, Disney has officially confirmed the cancellation of the Star Wars land project at Walt Disney Studios Park, which will become the future Disney Adventure World. This project will be replaced by a land dedicated to The Lion King. The land will feature an aquatic attraction, similar to the Splash Mountain concept, with audio-animatronics to bring the characters from the film to life. Work will start in 2025, but no opening date has yet been set.
More details about World of Frozen
With work progressing rapidly in recent months, it has been announced that the land dedicated to The Snow Queen: World of Frozen will open to the public in 2026, at the same time as the lake area: Adventure Bay. At the D23 2024 convention, a new promotional visual for World of Frozen was unveiled,
More details about Adventure Bay
The lake area, Adventure Bay, in the future Disney Adventure World park, will open to the public in 2026. This new area will include a huge lake surrounded by gardens, as well as shops and restaurants and a Rapunzel-themed attraction. A new night-time show will be presented, using water mapping technology, as well as an innovation never before seen in a Disney park: “aquatic drones”. These drones, developed in collaboration with Dronisos, the park’s partner since 2022, will offer visitors a unique visual experience.
More details about the next night show in Disneyland Park
After many years without a new night-time show and the reuse of Disney Dreams! and Disney Illuminations, Disney has announced the arrival of a brand new show in Disneyland Park. The main new feature of this night-time show will be the integration of mapping and audio effects on Main Street U.S.A., in addition to those usually projected on the castle. This new show promises to offer visitors an unprecedented immersive experience, and is scheduled for January 2025.

The Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will soon be adding two new attractions. The first, Stark Flight Lab, will let you climb aboard two-person capsules linked to a robotic arm for an immersive experience in a test station designed by Mr Stark. The second, Avengers Infinity Defense.
We finally have an opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! Get ready to immerse yourself in the enchanting world of The Princess and the Frog from 15 November, when the attraction officially opens at Disneyland in California.
A new Coco-inspired water attraction will soon be arriving at Disney California Adventure, with work scheduled to begin in 2026. The attraction, inspired by classics such as Pirates of the Caribbean, promises an immersive experience with detailed animatronics bringing the characters and colourful world of the film to life.
A new land dedicated to Avatar is coming to Disney California Adventure! Inspired by the films Avatar: The Water Way, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and the upcoming sequels, this land will immerse visitors in the spectacular world of Pandora. As well as its immersive landscapes, a brand new attraction will also be on offer, offering a unique experience that captures the essence and magic of the films.

Two new Cars-themed attractions will soon be joining Frontierland at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom. Work on these new experiences will begin in 2025.
It’s now official: a land dedicated to Disney Villains will be added to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom park. This new land, eagerly awaited by fans, will include two attractions.
At D23, Disney announced a new Monsters & Co. zone for Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World. Visitors will have the chance to visit the Monstropolis factory and walk through gates on the very first suspended rail rollercoaster in a Disney park! Construction of this new area will begin in 2025.
A new show about Zootopia, entitled Zootopia: “Better Zoogether”, will soon be arriving at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is scheduled to open in the winter of 2024-2025.
At D23, another big announcement was made: the first Encanto-themed attraction will arrive at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, in the Tropical Americas zone.
A new Indiana Jones attraction, with a brand new storyline, will be appearing in the Tropical Americas area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. At D23, a first glimpse of the attraction was revealed, but little further information has yet been provided.
More details for Shanghai Disney Resort
Few new attractions have been announced for Shanghai Disneyland this year. However, it is important to note the creation of a new coaster attraction on the theme of Spider-Man.
More details for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort
Few new attractions have been announced for Hong Kong Disneyland Resort this year. However, one major highlight is the creation of a new Spider-Man-themed attraction. This attraction will be located in Hong Kong Disneyland’s Stark Expo and will involve visitors in a mission to protect inventions from the plans of the dreaded Dr. Octopus. Further details will be announced by Disney at a later date.
More details for Tokyo Disney Resort
No new attractions have been announced for Tokyo Disney Resort this year. However, it has been confirmed that a brand new nighttime show called Reach for the Stars will launch at Tokyo Disneyland in September 2024.
Another important announcement
Disney also announced the construction of four new cruise ships between 2027 and 2031, bringing the total number of ships in its fleet to 13 worldwide. However, no information has been provided about the environmental impact of these giants of the seas. It is regrettable that Disney does not seem to be taking into account the ecological issues associated with this type of cruise, even though environmental issues seem to be so well integrated into the management of its theme parks.
