Are you wondering if smoking is allowed at Disneyland Paris? Are you looking to find out where it is possible to smoke in the parks? You’re in the right place!
The non-smoking policy at Disneyland Paris
The goal is to ensure safety, maintain hygiene, and limit passive smoking, especially for young visitors.
Failure to comply with this rule constitutes a violation of the park’s internal regulations as well as Disneyland Paris’s general terms of sale. If not respected, you could be expelled from the park.
Smoking areas at Disneyland Paris
However, to meet the demand of some visitors, Disneyland Paris has set up specific smoking areas inside the parks.
These spaces are mostly located in less crowded areas so as not to disturb other visitors.
They are equipped with benches, shelters, and ashtrays, allowing smokers to take a break without having to leave the parks.
Where to smoke in Disneyland Park?
Disneyland Park has 14 smoking areas, distributed as follows:
- 1 near the Disneyland Hotel
- 0 on Main Street and Central Plaza
- 3 in Discoveryland
- 2 in Fantasyland
- 4 in Adventureland
- 4 in Frontierland
Where to smoke in the rest of the resort?
In the rest of the resort, such as Disney Village, hotel outdoor areas, or near the train station, Disneyland Paris does not impose specific bans on smoking or electronic cigarettes.
However, out of respect for other visitors and to protect everyone’s health, it is always better to smoke away from crowds.
The July 1, 2025 Regulation at Disneyland Paris
Starting July 1, 2025, a new law comes into effect in France: smoking will be prohibited near places frequented by children.
This includes public parks and gardens, beaches bordering swimming waters, bus shelters and covered waiting areas, areas near schools, middle schools, high schools, and other places hosting minors, as well as open spaces around libraries, swimming pools, stadiums, and sports facilities.
For now, Disneyland Paris has not yet specified whether it will be affected by this new measure or if it could impact its current policy.
It is uncertain if this change could lead to the removal of smoking areas in the parks, as already done in Disney parks in the United States, or restrictions in Disney Village or on outdoor terraces of hotels.
The non-smoking policy in other Disney parks worldwide
Regarding the policy across other Disney parks worldwide, since May 1, 2019, smoking has been prohibited in all parks located in the United States.
Visitors must leave the parks if they wish to smoke. This measure continues Disney’s policy aimed at reducing active and passive smoking.
For over ten years, under the leadership of Bob Iger, then CEO of the company, Disney has also set an example by limiting tobacco presence in Disney films.
